O God, whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven: Be ever present with your servants who seek through art and music to perfect the praises offered by your people on earth; and grant to them even now glimpses of your beauty, and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Musical Notes

Here at Mebane United Methodist Church, we strive to bring you some of the very best in Christian music today. We have a blended worship service at the 8:45am service on Sundays, at which the Praise Team leads the congregation in a time of praise songs. The 11:00am service is more of a traditional service with the Chancel Choir presenting the Anthem. The advent season is fast approaching and the Chancel Choir is busy working on the Christmas Cantata "Journey of Promises" by Joseph M. Martin. We will be performing the cantata accompanied by members of the Walter Williams High School orchestra on Sunday morning December 12. Make plans to come and here this moving musical portraying the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I would like to extend a warm invitation to anyone who has a sincere desire to sing and worship the Lord, to come out and join us.

The Praise Team rehearses each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary, the Hand Bell Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary and the Chancel Choir rehearses each Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Choir Room on the 3rd floor.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir sings the anthem during the 10:55 morning worship service. This choir rehearses music every Wednesday evening at 7:30. If you are interested in joining this choir please contact director Thom Isley.

Handbell Choir

Handbells rehearse each Wednesday evening at 6:30. The handbells perform several times a year during the 10:55 worship service and occasionally at the 8:45 service. If you are interested in joining this choir please contact Thom Isley.

Praise Team
