Youth in Music Man Jr.
Several of our youth participated in the Woodlawn Middle School production of Music Man Jr. November 21 - 23. The play was directed by Beth Zint. We all can be proud of the talent among us! These pictures were taken at their dress rehearsal on November 20.

Christian Education Sunday 2002
On August 18, 2002 we observed Christian Education Sunday. It has become our tradition to have an educational focus on Promotion Sunday which we observe at the beginning of the school year.
This year we celebrated with nine Third Graders who received a Bible from the church. We consecrated Sunday School Teachers and Leaders at each service. They were also treated to special breakfast in their honor prepared by Charles Ballard. Francis Scott was recognized for her 30 years of service as a Sunday School teacher.
We also dedicated 61 school kits that are being sent to Afghanistan. These kits were prepared by the United Methodist Women working with donations from members of the congregation.

We topped off Christian Education Sunday with a combined KICS and UMYF cook-out at the church. Children, youth, and their families gathered for meal of hotdogs, hamburgers, and more. Brandon reviewed some of the upcoming events and shared a vision for the new year.

The lighting in the sanctuary, the fact I didn't use flash, the shakiness of my hand, and the distances involved were contributing factors ;-)
