Christian Life and CommunityDescription of the Believers' Worship Service
Our Believers' Worship service is designed with Christian Believers in mind. The music of the service is a mixture of praise music, contempory music, and traditional hymns. The sermons are teaching sermons with an emphasis on our Christian walk and growing in Christian discipleship.
While we envision a variety of music and musical groups taking part in these worship services, we aim to strive for excellence in all of the worship and praise we lift up to God.
The actual gathering to praise God and learn together is really part of a larger experience which we plan to simply call Christian Life and Community. Another important part of this experience will be the Small Group gatherings.
The Relationship of Small Groups to Believers' Worship
Small Group Ministry will be an important part of whole Christian Life and Community experience we will be fostering here at Mebane UMC under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Each Sunday's worship and praise service will focus on a theme which will be followed up with during a small group meeting. All members will be encouraged to become a part of a small group. These small groups will provide opportunities for Christian fellowship and prayer and further reflection and study on Sunday's topic (using the provided handouts).
